In addition to using herbs to help with labor pain, these creams or ointments may use other sorts of natural ingredients to help with labor pain, such as vanilla oil or vitamin E.

If you intend to have your baby without the use of pain medications, you should explore all of your options. In addition to using herbs that can help with labor pain, you might consider other alternative therapies like acupressure, acupuncture, or aromatherapy. In addition, you will want to make sure that you understand what kinds of pain medications will be available, and what their side effects can be. Finally, you will want to make sure that you include all of your pain management plans in your birth plan, so that your health care provider can be familiar with what you are expecting.
