While pregnancy can cause discomfort in almost any part of the body, from your belly to your thighs to your breasts, very few of the aches and pains of pregnancy are as uncomfortable as the pains and discomfort you might experience in your feet. The fact of the matter is that your feet are very important to you, and you rely on them all day every day to get you where you need to go. When your feet hurt or are not comfortable, your whole day can be a disaster. Fortunately, there are some ways that you can pamper your feet during pregnancy.
One of the ways to pamper your feet is, simply, to get off your feet. The extra baby weight that you are carrying can cause all sorts of strains on your muscles, your joints, your ankles, and your feet. Taking fifteen minutes or so several times a day to just put your feet up will go a long way toward helping you get comfortable during the third trimester. While it may not be practical for everyone, if you can soak your feet for a few minutes a couple of times a day, you will also see a reduction in discomfort. If possible, you might consider using an herbal foot bath, which will contain herbs like lavender or chamomile that are designed not only to help your feet feel better, but to help you relax and to relieve overall stress.
You might also consider using an herbal massage oil, or aromatherapy massage oil, to pamper your feet during pregnancy. These oils use all-natural herbs and essential oils that will, like an herbal foot bath, help to not only pamper your feet, but to provide you with some stress relief, and to help you to relax. Spending a few minutes a couple of times a day pampering your feet with herbal massage oil or essential oils will go a long way towards reducing the discomforts that you are experiencing in your feet during pregnancy.
